Marigold Boy O'Boy Mixed 

This is still one of the most popular varieties. It produces compact, uniform plants with reliable displays of large bright flowers in orange, gold and mahogany.

Sow from February to April on the surface of lightly firmed, moist seed compost in pots or trays and cover with a fine sprinkling of compost or vermiculite. Place in a propagator or in a warm place, and keep at a temperature of between 21-25°C. After sowing, do not exclude light as this helps germination which usually takes 7-21 days. When seedlings are large enough to handle, transplant into pots or trays. Gradually acclimatise plants to cooler conditions for a few weeks before planting out after all risk of frost, 30cm apart in well-drained soil in full sun. Flowers from June onwards.
